Sky Watch Friday

These photos are of clouds over the Hudson River.
Ever since I can remember I have loved to watch clouds.When I was a little girl I used to  lay on the grass and find shapes in the clouds.I used to see bears,angels,butterfies and all sorts of wonderful things!
I loved the way the clouds moved. I believed when they moved it was the Earth itself turning!
I still love to cloud watch!I'm still fascinated by the shapes and the way those fluffy clouds  move across the sky!

    Beautiful photos. Reminds me of riding the train up from NYC to where my sister lived in Wappingers. Beautiful ride.

Artist of the Week :Frida Kahlo

Happy Sunday! I decided to start an "Artist of the Week " post to do on Sundays!It's a good way to learn more about the  different styles of each artist. This week in keeping with my Mexico theme, I will feature the  fabulous    Frida Kahlo : Frida was born on  July 6th, 1907 in Coyoacan, Mexico to a Hungarian-Jewish father a nd a mother of Spanish and Mexican Indian descent. She was one of four daughters. Frida did not plan to become an artist .She had been studying Medicine at the " Escuela Nacional Preparatoria" in Mexico City. Out of 2000 students, Frida was one of only 35 women accepted into the prestigious institution. However in 1925  at the age she was severely injured in a bus accident in  which she suffers fractures to her spine, collarbone and ribs, a shattered pelvis, and shoulder and foot injuries.
