These are the cards I made for that swap on swapbot.com I started with card board and old book pages. Then I added scrap booking paper pieces ,molding medium and inks. I like the results with the images I chose. The little fairy is my favorite! I love making and trading ATC's!

Hello April! Today actually felt like a Spring day, here in Westchester ,New York. I only went out for a little bit. But it was nice. Anyhow... I really do want to get back to posting on here a couple if times a week. It doesn't really matter if I  have followers or not. Mainly I want this blog so my kids have something to look back on later in life. It is so interesting to look back in time and reminisce. Recently I have been working in an art journal. It is so fun to learn to use different supplies& learn  new techniques . There is a woman who does tutorials on YouTube. She is wonderful! I am part of her Facebook group also. It is called Mixed Media Morsels. Also, I have been getting back into  making artist trading cards and decos and joining in swaps. I just love the sharing and inspiration that comes with that! I've been making more jewelry lately. I would very much like to start selling it. I often make things and give them away to friends. However,  I have been advised to start selling them. I've never taken any classes. What I make I learn through books and YouTube tutorials. I love that you can use the Internet and books to teach yourself. That's not saying that I  wouldn't enjoy taking  a few classes. I feel that even though I've been doing making things for years, I still need a bit more practice so that what I put out there to sell is of good quality. Last night I took out my ring mandrel and made a couple of wire wrapped rings. I had not made any rings in a couple of years, so I am rusty. I think I  will just keep these for myself. It's been such a long time since I've posted! I have missed doing so and here I  am. I suppose I  stopped because it seemed like I had nothing of interest to share. But I have been thinking I want to do it for me & perhaps for my family to look back on. In any case I will post about what I do at my job. What I do with my family. The crafts I work on , my thoughts etc... The thing is to get back into it ! If I meet friends along the way, great!

It has been a very snowy winter here in New York...and many other parts of the North East as well. I hear so many complaints about the temperatures and the snow, but hey, it IS winter! It is supposed to be cold and snow is expected in the winter months isn't it? It can be a pain due to the road conditions and although it looks so pretty freshly fallen ,after a couple of days it looks a bit icky in some places because it turns black with dirt. I say grin and bear it and take photos ! It makes the tree branches and landscape look quite lovely. So enjoy the beauty of it all.Before we know it Summer will come around and then we'll all be complaining about the heat and humidity! :)

I found a nice Saturday meme called  Camera Critters   , which is all about photos of... You guessed! Animals & critters. I decided to share these photos of seagulls I took down by the Ossining Waterfront last Fall. I was so amazed at how many there were flying around there that day.I'd never seen so many at one time in that particular area. I got many shots of them ,these three are my favorite! Yay! It's Friday! The weekend is here and I get to relax! Scratch that!It's time to catch up with all the things I was too tired or too lazy to do during the week. Yes, I suffer from PROCRASTINATION! It's been such a long time since I posted!It's not even that I don't want to,it's more because of time and or lack of inspiration! I truly would like to change that! My Thursday turned out pretty good. It was my first day back to work after my little vacation. I was apprehensive about it for reasons that I won't waste time writing about. It just goes to show worrying is a waste of time! It's always been a thing with me! I am a worry wart! So it's Thursday and I want to get back to blogging "Thoughts for Thursday". I want to write about a very special person : I am so blessed to have Carolina in my life. She has been part of my family since I was nine years old. We've gone through a lot of ups and downs, trials and tribulations . She has been the best friend anyone can have and she is my mom's bestie. She has a generous heart and even though she can have her grumpy moments she is one of the kindest people I know! This morning was freezing and she knows I have asthma and I do walking to get to the bus and then up a hill to work. So she took the time to pick me up from home and take me to work. The first day of the year is here and the only resolution I consciously made was to allow more time for creative expression. I can live with that right now! Hopefully this will include more blogging!:) So for today I accomplished spending part of my day making an eyeglass holder I'm giving as a gift and a pair of earrings & I blogged about it! Good start!

Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love the colors, the crispness in the air, the Halloween and harvest decorations! I've been snapping tons of photos of my surroundings this Fall. I'll be posting them here over the next few posts.
