Thoughts for Thursday:Random Acts of Kindness!

Random Acts of Kindness Week Feb.15-Feb.21 Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Leo Buscaglia A kind act is "random" when it is unexpected-done simply out of the will to extend goodness, person to person, without expecting anything in return. I  just learned that this week is" Random Acts of Kindness week". What can you do? It doesn't have to be  huge! Little things count so much!Something as small as a smile may brighten someone's day. Let's all do our part. This week and beyond! Kindness is love in action. When you give kindness, all things take their rightful place. It matters not where or when...just give. If you watch, you will see a need, and then will find that there is great joy in giving. The best portion of a good man's life - his little, nameless, unremembered acts o...

"The art of being happy lies in the power of extracting happiness from common things . " This is what I saw when I looked outside my window this morning. Lots and lots of snow! No school for the kids of course! I was lucky I didn't have to go to work. I got to go back to bed and snuggle with Kylie! Jorge had to work half the day. But when he came back he and Kylie had  fun together doing a craft project. We got melty beads which get placed on a template... Then you use an iron and special paper to melt the beads so they will fuse together. ...and Tada! Fuse bead "people! She had so much fun spending time with Daddy doing this project. It makes us all happy to spend time together ,especially when it's unexpected! I had also gotten  Model Magic clay for Kylie and she loved it! It turned out to be a great day for all of us.My older girls just slept and relaxed all day... I got the chance to look for some of my craft supplies that were packed!Joy! There is much...

"Always have faith in yourself. It is not easy to live life sometimes and face the world with a smile when you're crying inside. It takes a lot of courage to reach down inside yourself. Hold on to that strength that's still there and know that tomorrow is a new day with new possibilities. If you can just hold on long enough to see this through, you'll come out a new person - stronger, with more understanding and with a new pride in yourself from knowing you made it." ~ Kathy Obara I was looking around tonight for a saying or quote to match how I've been feeling lately and this one seems just right. I don't usually share too many  really personal things on this blog.I don't think anyone reads it anyway. There are more interesting, more beautiful and well written blogs out there, so it's not surprising to me.But I keep posting to it anyway, because I enjoy it and I am following some pretty interesting and, creative people that inspire me Any how ...
