Virgin A Day #10

The Grasp Of Your Hand Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers, but to be fearless in facing them. Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain, but for the heart to conquer it. Let me not crave in anxious fear to be saved, but hope for the patience to win my freedom    Grant me that I may not be a coward, feeling Your mercy in my success alone; but let me find the grasp of Your hand in my failure. from the book, The Heart of God selected andedited by Herbert F. Vetter. Charles E. Tuttle I can't believe day ten of Virgin a Day with Rebecca is upon us so quickly! I have been savoring each daily post by so many astounding bloggers! Watch "Ave Maria ( Caccini ) - Libera" on YouTube This past Monday as I walked up a hill to my job, I listened to Pandora internet radio as I usually do. I was pleasantly surprised when the song Ave Maria by the boy's choir Libera started playing.I had never before heard it on this station. I thought it was a coincidence that it came on at a time when my head is full of Mary images from all the wonderful blogs I've visited in the past few days. I  stopped and sat to savor the delightful music and enjoyed the sunny morning.Visions of Mary danced in my head. For those five minutes I felt totally peaceful. It's moments like that,  beautiful in their simplicity, that I cherish. Visit Rebecca's blog www.Corazon.typepad.com Her posts are always uplifting and a feast for the eyes. There you will find links to other blogs, equally as inspiring .Perhaps you'll decide to join in and post A Virgin A Day today and every day until December 12th! Virgin a Day #7

December 12th is the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Each day for the days leading up to it, I am posting a virgin a day. There are many faces to Mary and Rebecca's meme allows us to sjare so many pf them!Come see everyone's contributions here . For my post today I want to share a shadorma poem that I wrote to Mary.It was inspired by a little statuette  of the virgin that stands outside the house across the street from mine.I see it every morning and it makes my day begin with a positive attitude and renewed strength to face whatever the day brings. A shadorma by the way , is "a six line poem (sestet) of Spanish descent with no rhyme scheme. It is a syllabic poem with the following structure 3/5/3/3/7/5 ". My Shadorma: Each morning I begin my day greeting you with a prayer Your very presence gives hope Heals my tender soul~ It's Wednesday!Make it wonderful!
