Peacefully Chaotic

I love chunky yarn! It's great for quick projects. I made a chunky scarf tonight as a birthday gift for a co-worker. I used Lion Brand's hometown USA. The color,  Tampa Spice will go beautifully with her warm Peruvian complexion. I hope she likes it! I think I will whip up a few more as gifts.They work up fast and I can crochet one on my bus ride to and from work. I also finished a scarf for Miss Kylie, using Dewdrops by Michael's Loops and threads.Hers is a gorgeous turquoise color. I am still working on her hat. Chunky yarn is warm and yummy to wear. Perhaps I will even make one for myself! Here is Li'l Miss Kylie modeling both scarves for me!

These are ATC'S I made in celebration of Samhain or more commonly known as Halloween.The little girl witch was sent as a swap on swap-bot.com The other two i'm keeping unless someone is interested in trading for them. Of course whenever I make ATC's,Kylie joins me and makes some of her very own. These are Kylie's creations: Aren't they lovely ,sparkley and colorful?! Last Sunday we decided to go spend a little time at the River front.The day was sunny and warm so there were lots of people out and about enjoying the day. Some were fishing. Some were sunbathing as they watched the boats. Others,like ourselves just sat on the benches and watched everyone and everything else. It's a peaceful place.I love to watch the waves,the sky, the boats,the horizon.... Kylie also enjoys the riverfront.Here she is,posing for me ! We like to walk a long the path and find interesting things such as these: There is also a beautiful 911 memorial We had a lovely time. But soon the sky started to darken. A rainstorm was underway. Soon it started to rain.And so it was time to say good-bye.We'll visit another day!

Boy have I neglected this blog! Things were chaotic for a little while since we had to move. I packed up most of my supplies and have not yet found the time to unpack them.I am going a bit crazy not being able to create. I have my crochet and my journals out, so that helps. This apartment has 4 bedrooms and we decided to make one our "computer/ art/play room". It's not a very big room, but we'll have to make it work. At the moment it's still full of packed boxes.Truthfully I have lots of stuff I need to get rid of still. That's hard for a pack rat like myself to do, but I don't want to be surrounded by clutter anymore.if I don't have a space for it it has to go.
